I began down the path of body alignment and health and wellness when I stepped into my first yoga class at the age of seventeen. I was always an athlete—soccer, baseball, football, swimming, tennis, running. This first yoga class was the hardest thing I had ever done before. I was hooked.

Within months I decided to take the Baron Baptiste 200-hour yoga training in upstate New York and during my junior year at Allegheny College, I created a yoga program for my peers. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and stepped full-time into teaching yoga throughout the Boston metropolitan area. I continued my yoga trainings, began training in reiki and embraced meditation and other mindfulness practices. In addition to my teaching and coaching I began leading yoga trainings both nationally and internationally and facilitating teacher development groups all over the country.

Blending concepts from Power, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga with the practices of meditation and reiki enabled me to create a style of yoga that benefited most of my students but I still recognized that people were in pain and, no matter what methods they tried, were unable to realign their bodies in a way that allowed them to be pain free.

At this same time, I had an injury at the gym. Now the question of what we can do with our bodies to alleviate our pain became even more personal and I discovered both the Egoscue method and Functional Patterns. Taking these trainings and integrating them into my knowledge of yoga and healing was an obvious marriage of methods. After healing my own back I soon began to work with others.

I offer a unique experience that unifies the physical and spiritual elements of these many different practices. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with you and help bring your body into balance.

What My Clients Are Saying

"This past spring I injured my back and was totally out of commission.  I could not go to work or do anything really.  I had dealt with injuries before but this was not going away I had no idea what to do.  When I met with Braxton I explained what my issue was and what I thought needed to be done about it....he very nicely told me that he could help and that I should stay off google for the time being because what I thought was helping was actually hurting.  In my case I had lower back pain but it was a symptom of other problems in the upper back and hip area.  Braxton thoughtfully and methodically helped me get out of pain and has continued to work with me on better flexibility and strengthening of muscles.  I now have a real understanding of how to prevent this type of injury in the future.  Thank you!" - Christian
